The 5Star Club at U.Y.S.C. is a program that enables academically talented, highly creative and gifted students to extend and broaden our existing curriculum to reach their full potential.

A 5Star Club member will be identified as a student who welcomes challenge and encouragement to achieve excellence in their individual strengths.

This will be achieved by the following during their years at U.Y.S.C.:

	Extension projects,
	Excursions to tertiary educational institutions, private enterprises and places of cultural, historic and scientific interests,
	Incursions by professionals and experts in varied fields,
	Participation in state wide and national competitions,
	Special interest camps and overseas exchanges,
	Fast tracking of VCE subjects,
	Support, encouragement and tutoring by professional and/or academic mentors,
	A club newsletter for families of member students, keeping them abreast with the latest and innovative opportunities for gifted and talented students.

5Star Club members are nurtured and helped to develop their strengths to their full potential.  It is envisaged that 5Star VCE students will leave U.Y.S.C. as mature young adults with a network in place that will allow them to achieve further excellence.

5Star Club membership is granted by application and the successful completion of Program Entrance Tasks.  There is a small membership charge.  Application forms are provided on enrollment or during the year from the 5Star Club Leader.
