Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

We thank you for your support, and the positive manner in which you are undertaking remote learning.

Next Friday, May 15, I encourage all students to take a break from their studies for the day. Where possible, we encourage students to spend time with their family members not at work doing something fun or creative. Yes we would love brothers to be nice to sisters and children be nice to their parents! Ride a bike, walk a trail, sleep in, play a board game, read a book… you get the picture (if catching up on work would be a stress relief, Friday is the day; however, try and avoid screen time!).

I will be encouraging staff at the College to do the same. As a result the College and College office will NOT BE OPEN on Friday May 15. I am extremely proud of the work of the staff at UYSC, they have gone above and beyond during this difficult time and I believe they could use a break also. Some staff will be unavailable on Thursday also (Ms Rohr, Ms Muir, Ms McGillicuddy, Mr Timmermans).

We hope you can use the day to rest, relax and revive.
